1. Limasawa Island Lagoon Resort
Limasawa Island Lagoon Resort is located in San Augustin, Limasawa Island. This place is a resort which includes water activities like kayaking, boating, snorkeling, cliff jumping and more. Limasawa Island Lagoon is one of the most visit tourist attractions in Limasawa Island. It's about 30 minutes away from the town proper and its offer overtaking views. The entrance fee is only Php25 for adults, Php for senior citizens and Php10 for kids since the road leading to the lagoon is a private property, the land owner is collecting Php5 access fee.
2. Molopolo White Beach
Molopolo White Beach is located in Barangay Molopolo, Liloan, Southern Leyte. Molopolo Beach has fine white sand similar to Aklan's Boracay Island, perfect for creating sand forts and building sand castle. One can also drench into its clear water and may enjoy swimming and doing some water activities at the beach. Some of the activities that you can do are snorkelling or scuba diving, rock formation and cliff diving activity. Entrance fee is P5, cottage starts fom P100 to P200. It has less than 10 cottages with different sizes.
3. Tankaan Beach
Southern Leyte is blessed to have white sandy beaches with
awesome rock formations. We are blessed to have Tangkaan Beach located in
Brgy. Tangkaan, Padre Burgos, this public beach is a perfect spot to see
Limasawa Island from afar. Tangkaan is also a perfect spot for cliff diving during high
tide. Snorkeling is a great idea too. There’s a nearby marine sanctuary that
features the marine life in the area. Sea turtles can sometimes be spotted too. The entrance fee is only P5, the table charge is just P50
and the parking space is P60. Once you get there, you will need to go down a
long staircase that leads to the beach. The area is also perfect for
snorkeling.
4. Bitoon Beach
Bitoon Beach has powdery white sand just like Molopolo
beach. Bito-on Beach is near Barangay San Roque in Liloan in Southern Leyte,
Reachable by boat, it offers the tourist a splendid view of the skies, perfect
for strolling on the beach. Entrance fee Php20 for adults and Php10 for childrens.
5. Pungkay Mountain Park
By going this place, Pungkay, Manalog, Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, you witness the real beauty of the earth. The best time to hike is at sunrise or in the afternoon to have best pictures, otherwise backlighted photos will be yours. To get here, one must take a motorcycle ride from the town center then hike up the hill for around 15 minutes and pay a 10Php fee. Each station has shed house where you can rest and take pictures.
6. San Pablo Island
San Pablo Island is located in Hinunangan
,Southernn Leyte which approximately 3-4
hours bus travel from Maasin City. If your are looking for a peaceful white sand
beach,this is the place. A 20-30 minutes pump boat ride from the mainland of
Hinunangan.It is simply one of the most beautiful hidden getaways of the
travelers.
YOU don’t have to worry about anything because
they have a cottage fee ranges from Php200 to Php650.You can enjoy a lot of
activities including swimming, ramp diving, rope swinging that can surely
satisfy you. Snorkeling fee is 50 pesos each.You can also visit their fish
sanctuary in the neighboring island in San Pedro.
7. Heart Shape
Heart shape is also
one of the best tourist destination that located in Hinunangan ,Southern Leyte
. Heart Shape is far from the proper of Hinunangan. If you are already in
destination, you can feel the fresh air, and also you will be amazed the view
because its shape heart. That’s why they called Heart Shape.
8. Cambaro Cave
Cambaro Cave is one of the hundred caves that located in Macrohon,Southern Leyte. It
is actually an interconnecting channel of underground caves, large enough for a
human to enter.A veil of darkness cloaks the natural beauty of Cambaro caves.
The guide will provide you with a helmet (serves as protective head covering)
with a built-in flashlight, enough to light the slippery and murky path inside.They
provide safety gear you just need to pay for the fee for the helmet P5 ,flashlight P10 and of course
for the entrance you need pay for P50
and for the tour guide you need to pay P150 per head.
9. Monte Cueva
Monte Cueva is 3.2 kilometers away from the city of Maasin is a hidden
gem. A more then hundred or even thousand of steps are being experienced just
to reach the top. It is also one of the main tourist attraction in Maasin City
which is the capital city of Southern Leyte. It is being visited mostly by
devotees or any Mother Mary believers.
Monte
Cueva is also called “Our Lady of Assumption Diocesan Shrine – Monte Cueva,
Maasin City”. A statue of Our Lady of Assumption can be found at the top of the
cave. You need to climb a little bit of stairs to reach it. No need to worry
because it will not exhaust you.
10. Hindag-an Falls
Hindag an falls is
one of the hidden wonders of Southern
Leyte. People might wonder that how did
we have a tourist destination like because if you try to take a look at the map
southern leyte is just a small province but as we all know that Philippines is
so blessed in terms of tourist attraction. Hindag an is just a small brgy.of southern
leyte that’s why its easy for you to go there.From Sogod, you take the bus in
Sogod terminal going to Silago. Fare costs PHP 100.00. Just drop yourself off
when you see the sign “To Hindag-an Falls”. You still have to walk for a few
meters.
